Sad news

When we returned from the sailing trip we received the sad news that my mothers first cousin Joan had passed away on the 21st.  She's the matriarch of the Lang Family over here in Melbourne.  We had visited with them in late January.  Joan was 97 and had left Canada with her family in 1957 to get away from the cold weather (maybe smarter than the rest of us).  The family originally went to Jamaica but left there in the early sixties when the situation there deteriorated and travelled across the southern US, wound up in LA and eventually moved to Melbourne where four of the six still live along with numerous grandchildren.  We had a lovely visit with them in January.  Here are some pics from an earlier post.  Taken January 24 th, 2015, still pretty sharp mentally, apparently I was acute baby.   L
