The tour was cancelled because of the weather. It was blowing a gale with high seas. We found our motel which has oceanfront. Went and did our laundry at coin laundry. I went next door for a $15 bowl of seafood chowder to warm up. By the time I had finished, the laundry was done and so was the storm. Skies amazingly cleared. And it is now sunny and warm. I think I might try to go swimming with Flipper tomorrow.
Our motel room is very dated like the 1950's and resembles a cottage on the ocean in PEI. It is very clean but doesn't have cooking facilities. Oh, well. Guess we'll have to go out to eat tonite. Just talking about some of the Kiwi names for things and expressions, long drop, outhouse. Streaky bacon, no worries, French stick bread, baguette. Sunnies, sun glasses.
