We spent the day outdoors. Visit one was an old coal mining site near Greymouth, tough way to make a living. Then we did a woods walk to Coal Creek Falls. The vegetation is very lush due to the amount of rain they get on the west coast. The third walk was into an old gold mining site. It was hard to find and talk about on the middle of no where. After that we drove to Fox Glacier which we will explore today. We're in the mountains here where it's a bit cool and rainy. Pics follow. It's quite surprising how many cyclists and backpackers we see on the road. L
