Valentine's day

Valentine's Day

I don't think you could ask for anything more beautiful than entering this beautiful harbour called Taranga on Valentines' Day.  Gorgeous morning too!  As I speak we are being assisted by 2 tugs to nestle up to our birth.  There are a number of ships in the harbour including several taking on lots of timber .  It is a very busy harbour.  Larry of course is on the bridge assisting the captain on his docking.  I can see his arms going every which way.  That reminds me.  I could've sworn I heard someone say 'how F------ beautiful is this" in a familiar voice all the way from the bridge.  The ship did a 180 right in the harbour.  He turned on a dime and I mean on a dime.  I have never seen anything like it.  I am sure Larry will give you a blow by blow account later.

Last night was the 50th anniversary of the Princess Love Boat.  We had lobster tails and prawns for dinner.  They had a band play in the atrium and a net full of balloons dropped over the top of us.  In some of the balloons there were silly little prizes.  I think one had a prize of a money voucher for the next cruise.  We had a really delicious dinner last night, the highlight being escargots which I usually do not eat.  It was amazing.

I think Larry is bitten.  He is already thinking of the next one.  We have met people who spend most of their lives on cruise ships.  It's bazarre.  I'm wondering if they have any family.  One couple made the on board paper, Lord and Lady King who we dined with are from Tasmania, they have sailed 2302 days 165 cruises with Princess.

Last day on the ship.  I am feeling sad but ready for another adventure.  Today we will do some hiking up the mountain.  Apparently the scenery is spectacular.

What have you men done for your valentine day?

This is the hill we're climbing today
