The Love Boat

Here she isAs you can see by the pic she's one big tub,  anyways we boarded around 2pm, it al, went very smoothly, once on board no getting off.  We're on deck 11 out of 14, fairly far forward on the port sunny side of the ship.  Here's a bit of trivia.  The origin of the word posh was during the steamers going from the UK to the Far East, port outbound, starboard home, those being the shady sides of the non air conditioned ships.  Dinner was very good and very reasonable sized portions.  Like most cruise ships wine is recorked for the next day. Before we sailed we had a muster station drill in this huge auditorium. It was packed, I can just imagine the reality of a real emergency with this many people.  There are 1200 crew and 3,000 passengers.  2.5 laps around the deck is one mile, that will be our exercise program.  The other day in Sydney we must have walked for four hours.  After our safety lecture we sailed at eight pm under a full moon.  I was on deck just above and behind the bridge with another guy on the other side and we  were giving hand signals and helping the captain he did ok. However we have to watch if we get in trouble, he's Italian, can't remember his name, I think it starts with S, Scaba something or other.   After that we went down below and got a little over exuberant in sampling a couple of the bars.  The piano man was great.
